Soretex started moving onto the Saint-Barthélemy industrial estate in the seventies and in 1974 the company joined the Thyssen group to enjoy rapid growth.

In the nineties, major investments were made in extending and modernizing the production plant and in developing the network and equipment dedicated to services.

puce In 1994, SORETEX changed its name to Thyssen Ascenseurs enabling enhanced positioning to strengthen its development in France and abroad.

Quality measures adopted in the eighties were formalized and acknowledged in the nineties by means of the various regularly audited and renewed certification processes.

ThyssenKrupp Ascenseurs is ISO 9001 certified for the design, production, installation, maintenance and repair of elevators and escalators. Its Quality Assurance system, certified by an official elevator organization, means that it is authorized to put the EC mark on its products.

ThyssenKrupp Ascenseurs and ThyssenKrupp Elevator Manufacturing France in Angers are ISO 14001 certified.
